The Adult Reconstructive Hip and Knee/Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship Match took place on April 21, 2016 with 84 programs offering 166 total positions. Review Open Payment Data by May 15

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will publish the 2015 payment data and updates to the 2013 and 2014 data on June 30, 2016. CMS Files MACRA Proposed Rule

On Wednesday, April 27, CMS released a 962-page proposed rule to revamp Medicare’s physician pay system. The Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act of 2015 (MACRA) replaces the Medicare Sustainable Growth Rate formula with the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) that can increase or decrease pay based on performance. Research Published On Hip Fracture Risk Following TKR

A fracture risk study of 3221 patients has been conducted in Sweden, showing that patients who had total knee replacement (TKR) because of osteoarthritis, led to a 4% rise in hip fracture risk and a 19% rise in vertebral fracture risk.
