Minneapolis Device Start Up Acquired

The hip and knee implant device start-up company, Responsive Orthopedics, has been acquired. Star Tribune reported that “Medtronic PLC plans to jump into the market for dependable, lower-priced knee and hip implants next year, after acquiring a Twin Cities start-up company that specializes in selling devices to hospitals in government cost-cutting programs.” Full story.

Abstract Submissions Set Record

At the close of the abstract submission period for the 26th AAHKS Annual Meeting, a record number of abstracts were submitted with an increase of over 11% from last year.
