Under the guidance of Publications Chair Michael P. Bolognesi, MD and Third Vice President William A. Jiranek, MD, agreement was reached with Elsevier, Inc. to publish a new electronic journal, Arthroplasty Today.
Arthroplasty Today will serve as a venue for current topics related to joint replacement and associated procedures. This peer-reviewed journal publishes original manuscripts with a focus on case reports of the highest quality from all areas relating to joint replacement or the treatment of its complications, including those dealing prosthetic design, biomechanics, biomaterials, metallurgy, and biologic response to arthroplasty materials in vivo and in vitro. Arthroplasty Today will also serve as venue for other unique manuscript types to include communications to the AAHKS membership and AT subscribers, review articles, educational materials related to care delivery, health policy and trends in the practice of arthroplasty and technical tips with case follow up.
