At the AAHKS Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, November 6, 2014, Board members approved changes to the new membership criteria recommended by the Membership Committee:
1) For Fellow, Associate and Affiliate categories, decrease the number of required references from two to one.
2) Allow emeritus members to serve as a reference as well as to share with applicants the names of AAHKS members in their area whom they may know.
“I believe we have become a more open group with the mission to share knowledge and information with all arthroplasty surgeons,” said Terry A. Clyburn, MD, Chair of the Membership Committee.
