In their study presented at the 2019 AAHKS Annual Meeting, Charles P. Hannon, MD and Craig J. Della Valle, MD were surprised to find how many opioid tablets were unused by patients following total joint arthroplasty. They found that by educating patients about disposal before surgery and sending reminders after surgery, more complied. Topics include:
