Faith in Practice
In Practice is a medical mission team that provides pro bono medical care in Guatemala, and in fact FIP has grown to be the second largest health care provider organization in that country. Founded in 1992, Faith In Practice has expanded to provide continuity of medical care to the poorest of Guatemala. Currently, their medical teams travel to the most remote and poorest parts of Guatemala, setting up makeshift clinics in rural villages. Working side by side Guatemalan volunteers, the medical teams provide general care and make referrals to the Obras, now a hospital that houses four state-of-the art operating rooms thanks to Faith In Practice supporters, and to four additional smaller hospitals throughout Guatemala. Hip and Knee Surgeons are among the providers in the organization. You can learn more at http://www.faithinpractice.org
