The Bournemouth University Orthopaedic Research Institute in the United Kingdom is heading up a surgical robotics study that will explore the idea of performing hip replacement surgery in space. According to the Daily Echo, orthopaedic surgeon Robert Middleton intends to propose the idea to the Mars One organization for their mission to settle humans on Mars.
