Citing anti-trust laws, a U.S. Federal judge blocked the proposed merger between insurance companies Aetna and Humana. Concerns over reducing competition were expressed last year by the Justice Department. In an interview with The Washington Post, “Deputy Assistant Attorney General Brent Snyder, current head of the Justice Department’s Antitrust Division, said in a statement the decision is a victory for consumers.
