HBO has produced a video about Bill Krissoff, MD, who joined the Marines as a battalion surgeon after his son, Nathan, who was on active duty as a First Lieutenant in Iraq, was killed by a roadside bomb in 2006. Dr. Krissoff received a special “age waiver” from President George W. Bush, as he was 61 at the time of his service. Commander Krissoff served in the 4th Medical Battalion in Iraq, Afghanistan and Cuba seeing more than 225 casualties. Watch the video.
