The 2025 AAHKS Spring Meeting will be held May 1-3, 2025 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Arthroplasty surgeons, faculty and exhibitors will convene at this case-based meeting, designed to provide an intimate, hands-on learning experience with ample opportunity to ask questions and interact.

The AAHKS Spring Meeting is intended to equip practicing orthopaedic surgeons with state-of-the art information and cutting-edge strategies to enhance overall surgeon competence related to the care of patients with arthritis and degenerative disease. It combines general and breakout sessions, emphasizing case-based learning in small-group settings with some of the leading faculty in the field of arthroplasty.

International Session: How Do We Treat PJI Infections in My Country: Patient, Surgeon and Health System

Each panelist will present on how PJI treatment is structured in their country, including:

  • The role of the health system (government regulations, payers, insurance coverage)
  • Cost and accessibility (how much a knee or hip infection treatment costs, who pays for it, prosthesis coverage)
  • Treatment protocols (surgical and non-surgical approaches, infection control strategies)
  • Hospital stays and recovery (length of stay, infectious disease specialist, barriers to implementing such programs)
