This week AAHKS submitted comments to the United States Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division (DOJ), the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in response to their Request for Information on Consolidation in Health Care Markets. Our comments underscore the fact that reimbursement reduction combined with increased costs of staff and inflationary pressures leave private practice physicians with increasingly difficult financial decisions about how to continue operations while maintaining a high level of care for their patients. For more detail, read the letter.
