Next week, join AAHKS members John Heiner, MD and Frank R. Voss, MD for a webinar on the effects the 2021 CMS Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) Final Rule have had on total joint arthroplasty and what it means for you. The yearly MPFS updates CMS polices and regulations affecting many factors such as calculation of payment rates, Relative Value Units (RVUs), misvalued codes and other regulatory actions. This year’s MPFS Final Rule made significant cuts to total knee and hip arthroplasty and to the Conversion Factor. On Thursday, April 15, 7:15 – 8:15 pm CST, Dr. Heiner and Dr. Voss will discuss how we got to this point, and what is being done to rectify the reduced RVUs for total knee and hip arthroplasty and lessen the impact on orthopaedic surgeons.
