“Many people are unaware that they should follow up with their surgeon as part of the long-term care for joint replacements,” according to a new article in the AAHKS patient education library. The article advises that regular, long-term follow-up care with their surgeon is the best way for patients to get the full benefit of the implant. Simple explanations of wear and tear, the types of revision surgeries and a typical follow-up schedule are included in the article written by the AAHKS Patient and Public Relations Committee and reviewed by the AAHKS Evidence Based Medicine Committee. Read the article, print a copy for your packets and share with your patients!
