Discover Your Member Benefits: AAHKS Position Statements

AAHKS has developed a library of position statements as expressions of the association’s views on important subjects in arthroplasty, such as opioid use for the treatment of osteoarthritis, CDC guidelines on the use of antibiotics and removal of TKA from CMS’s inpatient-only list. While not intended to provide comprehensive subject reviews nor to provide medical advice for the treatment of individual patients, they are useful for surgeons facing these real issues. AAHKS recently updated the position statement related to outpatient TKA surgery considering the increased number of TJAs performed in the outpatient setting. See the full library here.
