The Women in Arthroplasty Committee (WIA) plans and oversees programs and activities that provide mentorship, professional development and networking for the growing membership of women in AAHKS. Its mission is to promote gender diversity in adult reconstructive surgery for the betterment of patient care, enhanced surgeon well-being and education of patients and surgeons. On the WIA webpage, you can sign up to be or receive a mentor, learn about its Traveling Fellowship and watch a WIA-produced video raising awareness of gender bias in surgery and health care.
