Last week, the Maryland chapter of Operation Walkled by Paul Khanuja, MDtraveled to Amritsar, India, where the team performed 46 joint replacements. Individuals suffering from debilitating arthritis and other painful bone and joint conditions received surgeries through the combined efforts of Operation Walk Maryland and Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences. Working alongside local medical residents and nursing staff at the university hospital, the team provided every procedure, implant and aspect of care entirely free of charge, ensuring patients could regain mobility without financial hardship. Special thanks to Zimmer Biomet for generously supplying the implants that made this work possible. Their collective dedication restored mobility, independence and hope for dozens of patients. Learn more about OpWalk MD here.
