A highlight of today’s program was the Keynote Address from Chris Voss, a former FBI hostage negotiator who trains people around the world on negotiation strategies. He spoke to attendees on how they can use “tactical empathy” when facing difficult conversations with patients, hospital administration or elected officials. Other events enhancing today’s Annual Meeting program included several special lunch events: the Diversity Advisory Board (DAB) hosted “Bridging Gaps with Humility and Grace: A Fireside Chat with Damon West” and Arthroplasty Today held its annual Editorial Board Lunch, awarding their Reviewers of the Year, Paul M. Lichstein, MD, MS and Brett C. Perricelli, MD. Watch a full recap of Saturday’s events here.
