AAHKS Comments on Joint Commission’s Advanced Certification

AAHKS and AAOS commented on the Joint Commission’s draft requirements for a proposed advanced certification program for total knee and total hip replacement surgeries. In a letter to Celeste Pierre, AAHKS and AAOS expressed support of the Joint Commission’s efforts to recognize and incentivize the highest quality of care and the goal of the proposed advanced certification program to assist organizations with providing a consistent approach to care that reduces the risk of error.
