The hip-spine relationship has recently been identified as one of the most important topics in total hip arthroplasty. One Symposium at the 2019 AAHKS Spring Meeting, “Case-Based Approach to Simplifying the Hip-Spine Relationship in THA,” will take a look at how we can identify a specific patient population at risk for a complication from the procedure. The session will cover how to effectively avoid that risk with a thorough preoperative work-up and careful surgical execution.
World-class faculty will take attendees through specific cases which highlight what to look for, how to identify at risk patients and how to change surgical plans. They will also discuss current thoughts on the use of dual mobility implants and constrained liners to teach proper indications of such devices.
