The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has added patient experience scores and star ratings to their Physician Compare website, which is intended for patients and their caregivers to use to find high-quality Medicare providers. The site now includes star ratings based on 2016 PQRS data. “The 2016 performance information is anticipated to be made publicly available for download at the conclusion of the informal review process in late spring/early summer 2018. While the profile pages are intended for patients and caregivers, the Downloadable Database is a resource for clinicians and group representatives as well as third-party data users,” according to a release from CMS.
