An error with some ICD-10 code updates impacted quality data reported at the end of last year, and CMS will not penalize physicians and group practices who were affected. CMS reports that the majority of the changes that impacted the data “were related to diabetes, pregnancy, cardiovascular, oncology, mental health and eye disease.” CMS advises physicians and group practices to continue reporting quality measures for 2016 PQRS, and CMS will determine whether or not they were impacted.
