New York Times Cites AAHKS Study

An article in The New York Times this week cites a study and poll on obesity conducted by the AAHKS Evidence Based Medicine Committee. “The group concluded that heavy patients should first be counseled to lose weight because a lower weight reduces stress on the joints and can alleviate pain without surgery,” the article states. The Committee Chair, Adolph J. Yates, MD, was also interviewed for the article.  Full story.
