MD Magazine reported on a study published in Arthritis & Rheumatology, “Impact of total knee arthroplasty using patient reported pain and health-related quality of life indices: Rheumatoid arthritis versus osteoarthritis.” The study included data from 18,897 patients and concluded that “TKA is highly effective in reducing clinically relevant knee pain to a great extent than other subjective HRQoL indices in patients with RA, although this improvement is less marked as compared to OA patients.” Full article.
