#AAHKS2022 General Session Convenes

AAHKS President Bryan D. Springer, MD officially opened the #AAHKS2022 General Session this afternoon, welcoming attendees to the Dallas area for what may be one of our largest meetings to date. Sessions and symposia covered topics including health policy, the economics of arthroplasty in 2022 and beyond, and advances in arthroplasty practice with artificial intelligence. During today’s Session, AAHKS bestowed the Lawrence D. Dorr, MD Humanitarian Award upon Steven J. Meyer, MD. Dr. Meyer’s organization, STEMM (Siouxland Tanzania Educational Medical Ministry), has performed 1,000+ free surgeries, imported over $5 million dollars of equipment and educated countless health care professionals to provide medical care to isolated people and introducing TJA to the county of Tanzania.
