News from Operation Walk

On a mission trip last week to Panama City, Panama, arthroplasty surgeon volunteers from Operation Walk Denver provided 26 patients with life-changing joint replacement surgeries over four days. Operation Walk Denver is led by 2024 Humanitarian Award Winner Douglas A. Dennis, MD. AAHKS and OpWalk leaders met with representatives from Panama’s Ministry of Health and with Ariel E. Saldana, MD, the only AAHKS member from Panama, who is working with the OpWalk Central Board to establish a joint surgery education center at a local hospital. The AAHKS Operation Walk Central Board facilitates and strengthens the partnership between AAHKS and Operation Walk chapters to enhance the mission of Operation Walk.
