AAHKS Urges Senate to Pass Medicare Physician Payment Provisions

This week, AAHKS joined a coalition of 75 national clinician and professional medical organizations to urge U.S. Senate leadership to include Medicare physician payment provisions from the House-passed One Big Beautiful Bill (HR 1) in the Senate version. The letter highlights the urgency of addressing the broken Medicare physician payment system. While the provisions do not fix all issues with payment, it “represents a critical step toward stabilizing the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS) and protecting access to care for seniors and individuals with disabilities who rely on trusted clinicians in their communities.
