Consensus on Orthopaedic Infection Proceedings Now Available

The results of the 3rd International Consensus Meeting (ICM), held earlier this year in Istanbul, are now available at www.ICMortho.org. The documents will also be published in the Journal of Arthroplasty and other peer-reviewed journals shortly. More than 1,100 delegates from 100 countries and various medical disciplines, many of whom are AAHKS leaders and members, convened to debate and deliberate over more than 350 questions related to infection in orthopaedics. The process started two years ago with 8-10 delegates assigned to each question to conduct a comprehensive systematic review/meta-analysis related to each topic. In Istanbul, the lead delegate for each question presented their findings followed by discussions in order to reach the consensus that is now available.
