There is a large shift in stem selection during primary THA for elective arthroplasty as well as arthroplasty for fracture, especially in the United States. Over the past ten years, there was a shift first to using cemented stem designs, and more recently to using triple tapered cementless stem designs with collars. This webinar is aimed at providing a historical context to the evolution of femoral stems as well as learning about the current trend in femoral stem usage and design.
