The AAHKS Courses held today provided educational programming targeted at four key areas of orthopedics:

  • Participants in the Business of TJA Course learned ways to grow joint replacement practice in the current technology driven health care environment, build effective teams that maximize success, identify potential business partners, and better understand alternative and bundled payment contracts.
  • The Resident Arthroplasty Course sponsored 140 residents to learn the latest TJA information through didactic and small group sessions, surgical case review, and significant interaction with faculty.
  • The Orthopaedic Team Member Course covered diagnosis and treatment of disorders seen by orthopaedic hip and knee reconstruction teams, specifically designed for non-physician surgical team members.
  • The NEW Research Course provided steps to start or enhance research opportunities and connections. Participants reviewed different research structures that can fit various practices, while learning how to answer critical questions with big data sets.
