The changes go into effect on January 1, 2024, and are meant to provide an ABOS MOC Program that is meaningful and valuable to ABOS Diplomates [and] ensure the safe, ethical, and effective practice of orthopaedic surgery for the benefit of our patients and the public. The number of credits required, length of the cycle and many more aspects remain unchanged; changes include deadlines during the 10-year certification period when credits must be earned and improving how credits are transferred from CME sponsors to the ABOS.
