CMS Reaches Out to Clarify TKA Removal from IPO List

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a Medicare Learning Network (MLN) newsletter to help clarify a final rule that removes total knee arthroplasty from the inpatient only list. AAHKS and AAOS will be meeting with CMS later this month to provide input on the document and to help further clarify our members’ problems with the issue. The MLN document has been requested by AAHKS and AAOS for many months and still needs additional input. Download the newsletter.
