AAHKS has announced the appointment of the founding Editor-in-Chief, AAHKS member Brian J. McGrory, MD, for the new medical journal, Arthroplasty Today. Dr. McGrory has editorial board experience with the American Journal of Orthopaedics, The Journal of Arthroplasty, Hospital Physician, and other peer-reviewed medical journals.
Arthroplasty Today will serve as a venue for current topics related to joint replacement and associated procedures. In making the announcement, Brian S. Parsley, MD, President of the Association stated: “AAHKS is expanding its official publications with an open access peer reviewed online journal with a focus on case reports of the highest quality.”
Elsevier, Inc., the medical publisher that works with AAHKS on The Journal of Arthroplasty, (JOA) will serve as publisher of Arthroplasty Today. Efforts are underway to complete recruiting of the Editorial Board. The first issue of Arthroplasty Today is expected to be online later this year.
