New Study Predicts Outcomes After TJA

Males and patients with light-duty work, self-employment and higher income are more likely to return to work faster after total joint arthroplasty, according to a new study published in the September/October Healio Orthopedics journal. Factors related to a slower return to work include a physically demanding occupation, previous knee arthroplasty, longer length of stay, and a job requiring more hours spent standing. Researchers will use the data to create a predictive model. Read the abstract.
