Earlier this week, the AAHKS Board of Directors voted affirmatively that the 30th AAHKS Annual Meeting will take place as a hybrid event with both in-person and virtual options for registrants.

This year’s Program Committee Chair, R. Michael Meneghini, MD, participated in a contingency planning group that looked at every possible option for the Annual Meeting all while keeping health and safety a top priority. The Program Committee and the Board are confident that working with the hotel, meeting partners, exhibit hall contractors and technology partners, precautions can be put in place that will make attendance at the AAHKS Annual Meeting as safe, if not safer, than the exposure risk AAHKS members experience every day in hospital and clinic settings.

“AAHKS has always been at the forefront in advancing hip and knee patient care through education, advocacy, and research. Applying this mission to our Annual Meeting while following public health guidelines is our responsibility as leaders in this challenging new environment for in-person education,” said Dr. Meneghini.

The in-person option will take place November 5-8, 2020 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. We recognize that many members are under travel restrictions, in high-risk groups or just don’t think attending the Meeting in Dallas is a good idea. For these reasons, we have added a virtual option that will include livestream events, industry symposia videos and on-demand video content from the General Session. CME credits can be claimed by registrants for either option.
