The General Session of the 2023 AAHKS Annual Meeting begins today at 3:00 p.m. with welcome remarks from AAHKS President Javad Parvizi, MD, FRCS. The AAHKS Program Committee expanded the program to feature 60 podium presentations, including three outstanding research abstracts selected for AAHKS awards for research, surgical techniques and young investigators, which will be announced tomorrow. Today’s symposia cover diverse topics in arthroplasty, such as “What’s New with Periprosthetic Femur Fractures? Technical Tips” and “Tips and Tricks to Save You During Revision TKAs: Video-Based Demonstrations.” AAHKS will present the Lawrence D. Dorr, MD Humanitarian Award to Gregory W. Stocks, MD, recognizing his efforts to provide high-quality, low-cost implants and training to surgeons working in low- and middle-income countries through Walk Strong. A networking reception in the Exhibit Hall/Learning Center will conclude today’s events.
