The General Session of the 2024 AAHKS Annual Meeting reconvenes today at 6:55 a.m. with welcome remarks from 2024 AAHKS Program Chair Jonathan M. Vigdorchik, MD. Today’s symposia cover complex topics in arthroplasty, including “Patient Preoperative Optimization: How to Do It and How to Be Paid for the Work,” “Management of PJI: No Longer a “One Size Fits All” Two-Stage Exchange” and “The Complex Primary THA: A Roadmap to a Successful Outcome,” and papers 11-39 (out of 60 total) will be presented in three sessions. Daniel J. Berry, MD, conducted the biannual “Practice Norms in Primary Hip and Knee Arthroplasty: What Is Everyone Else Doing?” live poll; results from the Annual Meeting audience will be validated and compared against data gathered in previous years to demonstrate areas of practice evolution. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s News to learn who won the top AAHKS clinical, research, humanitarian and other awards.
