AAHKS leadership and staff are representing hip and knee surgeons at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons’ (AAOS) 2021 Annual Meeting, being held August 31-September 4 in San Diego. AAHKS has joined with The Hip Society and The Knee Society to present Specialty Day programming specifically tailored to AAHKS member interests. In addition, the Women in Arthroplasty (WIA) held a networking luncheon for all female arthroplasty surgeons, inviting new adult reconstruction fellows to join WIA in continuing their dedication to promoting gender diversity in the field of adult reconstructive surgery for the betterment of patient care, enhanced surgeon well-being, and education of patients and surgeons in order to advance the field of hip and knee arthroplasty. The Young Arthroplasty Group (YAG), which now has more than 500 members, held a well-attended reception to welcome residents, fellows and new surgeons to join AAHKS leaders for networking and discussion of new opportunities and resources available from YAG.
