AAHKS Submits Second CMS Physician Fee Schedule Comment Letter

This week, AAHKS submitted our second of two comment letters to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding their proposed rule for the CY 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule. While the first comment letter exclusively addressed the proposed 20% reduction in reimbursement for CPTs 27130 and 27447, this letter addresses the RFI on the use of Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) Coding System, the unneeded nomination for potentially misvalued codes and the utilization of inappropriate reports and studies in valuing codes.
