Annual Meeting Keynote Session Announced

We’re excited to announce the theme of this year’s Annual Meeting Keynote Address, “American Dream: The Story of Immigrants.” Instead of an outside invited speaker, AAHKS President Javad Parvizi, MD, FRCS will deliver the presentation. Dr. Parvizi, a native of Azerbaijan, Iran, immigrated to the United States in 1995 after completing his medical degree in the UK. In his address, Dr. Parvizi will speak about the opportunities that this country has provided and continues to provide to immigrants and the succor that immigrants weave into the fabric of this society. Dr. Parvizi will provide a glimpse of his personal experiences as an immigrant and divulge the privileges and opportunities that he has been provided to succeed in the US. At a time of political and societal division, this talk will bring a note of unity to our organization.
