The July issue of AAOS Now features a case study by Mark A. Snyder, MD, about how TriHealth Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) in Cincinnati has decreased complications using AJRR data, evidence-based medicine and integrated clinical pathways (ICP). According to the study, “GSH has enjoyed broad Level III registry adoption, which is combined with extensive multimodal problem-solving ICPs. Together, the Orthopaedic Center of Excellence’s TJR efforts have reduced complications, eliminated 30- and 90-day readmissions by 90 percent, and lowered total episode 120-day costs by nearly 25 percent.” Read the study.
