Less than 1 percent of practicing orthopaedic surgeons are Black women. AAHKS had the pleasure of sitting down with seven of these remarkable fellowship-trained arthroplasty surgeons during the 2022 Annual Meeting to hear their stories. Against remarkable odds, these female surgeons joined the ranks of those improving outcomes of their patients and we are proud to honor them, especially during Black Women’s History Month. Listen to their stories and join us in the effort to diversify the racial and gender composition in arthroplasty. Watch the video here.
