On April 29, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released their CY2022 Medicare Inpatient Prospective Payment System (IPPS) Proposed Rule. Within the proposed rule, there is a request for comment on potentially adding TJA PROMs to the Inpatient Quality Reporting program and possibly adding risk stratification for race, ethnicity, and other factors to quality measures.
