Dr. Rothman Retires, Carries On

This week, Richard H. Rothman, MD, PhD, retired from surgery at his namesake Rothman Institute in Philadelphia. Dr. Rothman was AAHKS President from 1998-1999. At 81 years old, he decided to leave the practice of surgery while still “at his peak” and to focus on other endeavors such as pre-operative and post-operative patient care, mentoring, teaching and various business ventures.
