Keynote Speaker Damon West

AAHKS welcomed Damon West as the keynote speaker at the 2024 AAHKS Annual Meeting yesterday in Dallas. A life-changing encounter steering this former Division I starting quarterback and Congressional worker onto a different path involving addiction, prison and, ultimately, a remarkable comeback. Attendees at #AAHKS2024 heard from this author of The Coffee Bean: A Simple Lesson to Create Positive Change, sharing how he turned his arrest and life sentence into an opportunity to overcome challenges and inspire positive change in himself and others. He urged attendees to “be the coffee bean” in the boiling water of life, overcoming challenges and opening opportunities for themselves and others.
