The AAHKS Team Course held during the 2019 AAHKS Annual Meeting will include mini-debates between faculty during the program. Mark J. Spangehl, MD will debate whether “Robotics for Knee Replacement is the Future” with Gwo-Chin Lee, MD. “The Anterior Approach is Clearly Superior,” affirms William G. Hamilton, MD; while Rafael J. Sierra, MD disagrees. In addition, the course will cover the diagnoses and treatments of disorders seen by the orthopaedic team specializing in hip and knee reconstruction. During interactive sessions, expert faculty will:
- Present options for nonoperative treatment
- Highlight clinical and non-clinical challenges PAs face
- Cover perioperative hot topics such as minimizing narcotics
- Evaluate complications
- Participate in panel and Q&As with attendees
