New: Updated Perioperative Management Guideline

Earlier this year, AAHKS and the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) released a summary of planned updates to the “Perioperative Management of Antirheumatic Medication in Patients with Rheumatic Diseases Undergoing Elective Total Hip or Total Knee Arthroplasty” clinical practice guideline. This week, the final Clinical Practice Guideline was published. The full guideline includes recommendations for people with forms of inflammatory arthritis as well as a list of medications to withhold and/or continue taking through surgery.
