OrthoCarolina to Bundle Hip, Knee Replacement Costs

OrthoCarolina or Charlotte, NC is the latest physician group to announce its plan for a hip and knee bundled payment program. The Charlotte Observer reports that the plan is in place for patients at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville and Watuga Medical Center in Boone. Partnering with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, OrthoCarolina has more contracts “in the works.” Full story.
