Healio reported that, according to research published in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, “Medicare physician fee reimbursement for septic revision total knee arthroplasty has not kept up with inflation and has been devalued at a greater rate than aseptic revision TKA.” Lead author Tarun K. Jella, MPH and colleagues analyzed physician fees associated with septic 1-stage revision TKA, septic 2-stage revision TKA and aseptic revision TKA over 15 years.
