Two arthroplasty surgeons were announced as the 2023 Spring FARE (Foundation for Arthroplasty Research and Education) grant recipients during the AAHKS Spring Meeting last week. Nicolas S. Piuzzi, MD, from the Cleveland Clinic, received a grant for his research, “Improving Total Knee Arthroplasty Dissatisfaction at 1-year through a Personalized Approach focusing on PROMs Phenotypes: A Randomized Controlled Trial.” Brian P. Chalmers, MD, from the Hospital for Special Surgery, was recognized for his study, “Objective post-operative TKA Laxity and its Correlation with Patient Perceptions of Knee Instability: A Prospective Study Using a Novel Multiplanar Arthrometer.” Learn more about FARE grants here
